Cuban Forward Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked AD Isidro Metapan, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed San Salvador (#5, 9-4) with 17-point margin 90-73. It allowed Metapan to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. Metapan has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. In the team's last game Cubillas had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Metapan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Yoel Cubillas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.1ppg), rebounds (6th best: 12.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.2bpg,3.3spg and 63.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Daylon Potts (196-G) of MC El Brasil Santa Ana. Potts had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Santa Ana lost that game 85-99 to the higher-ranked A.Lobos (#2, 9-3). Santa Ana managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Santa Ana managed to get this year. Potts is one of the most experienced players at Santa Ana and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 20.9rpg and 6.8apg. Former Simpson University star Potts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was Eliezer Sanchez of ITD Santa Tecla BC (#3). Sanchez showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 18 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Santa Tecla, leading his team to a 82-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Brujos (#6, 6-6). Santa Tecla needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Sanchez has a great season in El Salvador. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 17.6rpg (2nd best). He also has 2.6bpg and a FGP of 52.2%.
